The Fairy Tale Contest Voting has started. Please consider voting for my entry. It's the first one.
Also, please note that the story ends abruptly because of limited word count, and because it was meant to fill in the previous history to the original fairy tale blogger JJ Bennett posted last month.
Thank you for your support! Have a donut on me.
And, here's a raspberry jelly one for Laura.

Hiya, Christine!
I voted! I voted! And, it's no secret... I voted for yours. So, when you spend your $30 winnings, think kindly of me.
Oh, and thanks for the donut... although next time, I'd like a powdered one with raspberry jelly, please. ;-)
Thank you so much, Laura.
That is really, really weird. Powdered sugar donuts with raspberry jelly filling are MY favorites, too!
But, didn't you enter the contest too?
I'm saving up for a laptop. I really need one.
I really loved your post! I liked what you did with 1,000 words...not just saying that to be nice. It was creative. Thanks for sharing it.
Thank you so much, Regina! It was sweet of you to stop by.
Have a donut.
Oh, my goodness, thanks for the special donut, Christine. That's funny that you like the same kind - guess great minds DO think alike.
Course, I should've stopped by earlier. Now, I'm on a diet. :-(
Well, maybe, just one little bite... that couldn't hurt, right?
Oh, and I was GOING to enter the contest... but I ran out of time. It's cool, though - I like supporting others... I've never entered one of Nathan's guest blog contests either. Too chicken, I guess.
Laura, I'm on a diet too. That's why I love virtual food. No calories!!!
I normally don't have time for contests, either.
No wonder you talk about food so much at CIC - a real-life diet has made you live vicariously through Ginger!
Actually, I come from a family of foodies. They talk about food all the time, and watch the Food Network, and are always trying new recipes.
I know exactly what you mean! My hubby is a great cook - and he watches the Food Network constantly. The other night, he cooked a big dinner for some friends of his parents... shrimp etouffee, corn muffins, dark chocolate cherry bread pudding. Very Louisianian. It was yummy - but my tummy ached from all the rich food. :-)
Oh, and incidentally, I'm sorry that you didn't win JJ's contest. I really did think your story was awesome. Perhaps I jinxed you with my "$30 winnings" comment above. If so, I'm doubly sorry. :-(
Oh, who knows, Laura! It don't think it was anything you said. I think she has a more professional, more visible blog and had more readers to come and vote. That's okay... it was still fun. I haven't done any spontaneous writing in a long time!
And, she did write a good story! I don't mean to imply that mine was better.
But it was. :-(
Thanks. You're a sweetie.
